Prue, was the oldest of the three. She took charge, and had the strongest powers. In the season three finale, she was murdered by a demonic hit man, called Shax, leaving behind a grieving Piper and Phoebe. In the beginning of the fourth season premiere, there is a beautiful funeral, where we see her family and friends saying their last good-byes. Prue Halliwell, will always be one of The Charmed Ones, and we will always remember her.

Shannen Doherty
Rumor has it, that Doherty left the show because of difficulties working with co-star Alyssa Milano. She says she asked to be released from her contract because the show is a waste of her talent, and because of the fact that she wants to become a director. The Charmed Cast, well the Charmed Cast, doesn't talk much about her departure, all they have to say is farewell and good riddance, and hope they didn't contribute to her anger.
