Adams-Jusupov 2005 , C09

Adams demonstrates a fine win against GM Jusupov (French interclub 2005) in the french defence. Note White's 19th move and the neat finish.

Adams-Kramnik 2005 , C42

Adams beats Kramnik again , this time in a technical Petroff Defence (Sofia 2005). Note that he takes the advantage in the middle-game, not the opening.

Anand-Adams 2005 , E15

Anand is getting gradually outplayed in the last game of Linares 2005. Adams lost against Vishy in Corus 2004 in the same opening. Critical Game !

Adams-Topalov 2005 , B90

Mickey attacks in the Sicilian against Topalov at Corus 2005. Veselin won against Kramnik in less than 25 moves ( Najdorf Defense) , but here this is a different struggle against white's f4,g4 ,etc..

Adams-Kramnik 2004

Vladimir Kramnik bites the dust at Corus 2004 in a sicilian scheveningen.Textbook domination

Adams-Svidler 2000

Michael plays the 3-times russian champion during FIDE World Championship (New Delhi 2000)..
He already defeated him during FIDE KO tournament in 1997 (Groningen).
This was the last play-off game (rapid chess)

Adams-Seirawan 1999

Yasser Seirawan is a strong and imaginative GM.
The two players play aggressively since the very beginning with kings on opposed sides. White's attack goes through.

Ivancuk-Adams 1991

Ivancuk is completely outplayed in the Gambit Marshall. Michael is a leading expert of this sharp opening.
Adams-Karpov 1994
A long positional game where the ex-world champion is being outplayed. Not an exiciting game but impressive performance from Adams !
Korchnoi-Adams 1996

Adams equalizes in the Queens-Indian. Korchnoi thinks he can grab a few pawns on the Queen-side and gets crushed !

Adams-Georgiev ,K 1993

Attacking game. Adams chooses to castle on the queen-side and continues with g4-g5 in this Sicilian. Check-mate follows !
Like Short,Miles,Hebden, Michael goes for the King if position allows it.

Lautier-Adams 1991
Game seems equal in this Nimzowitch Defense game. Suddenly, White loses the thread and resigned at move 41. Instructive positional play
Adams-Anand 1998

Let's be fair. Anand has a positive score against Adams (Kasparov does as well for the record).

For instance, Anand defeated him in PCA candidates 94, and in FIDE Groningen 97, and in FIDE 2000.

Though, it doesn't mean that Anand gets always the upper-hand. The featured game proves the contrary : Michael Adams remains a truly dangerous opponent , even for Vishy !!!!!
