TheChickenNuggit's Journal 2/22/05 Today is a Tuesday. Not a Monday. Yesterday was President's Day. I had an interesting weekend. I got my very first babysitting job, taking care for Amanda's little brothers aged 3 and 6... got $20 for it!! Very good! And then I hung out with Amanda after the job, then came over again the next day, played with her dogs, went bike riding, ate, played a video game, then came to my house, talked, slept, ate, went to Skate World. At skate world we saw all these little eight and ten year olds flirting with each other. I felt so old, like eighty-year-old old. We were the oldest ones there, almost. And we also saw Lara who I knew from my old school. We rollerskated together. Fun. Today there was Book Club, and that was fun, too. We had cookies and milk. It was like the club of geeks... talking about The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy... nothing wrong with that. But, lol. I'm going to read that book. Everyone loves it. I hope they don't screw up with making that movie. I picked out my classes for next year. My three electives are: German 2, Writing Workshop 2, and Health Science/Medical Terminology. Can't wait for sophmore year. My GPA is ranked 100 out of 841. thechickennuggit 3/4/05 Hey! It's 3-4-5 today. I'm in Focus class right now, typing up my resume. It's an Apple "eMac" computer. I hate it. The one thing I like about apple comps are that the buttons are all shiny round and pretty like jewels. Beautiful! I've been really sick. I'm getting over it now, but on Monday to Wednesday I had a ridiculously fever all the time, and Advil only took it down to just a tame fever. It sucked. It felt horrible. But I'm better now. I don't have the bad fever+headache, but I have a runny nose and a sore throat. Everyone is sick at school! I guess it's the flu. This site is making me a little bit mad because I'm running out of space, bandwidth, whatever it's called, so when my friend goes to my art page the site goes down for an hour. I need to find a place to store my images. I've fried freewebs, but that place is annoying. I love Geocities. I just wish it would give me more space. Maybe I should upgrade it and start paying for this? Then there'd be no ads. And I get 25MB of space, 5GB of bandwidth. $5 a month. If I pay $9 a month, I get my very own domain like www.thechickennuggit.com and a new email like webmaster@thechickennuggit.com. Isn't that awesome? I'd probably just get the $5 a month one, because I don't have a need for the domain and email thing. Meh. Someday, someday, someday I will get a real website. For spring break my dad, sister and I are going to Colorado to see my gramma and grandpa. My sister refuses to drive because she hasn't driven in a while, and my dad can't drive the whole time. So they said that I should get my permit before spring break so I can drive part of the way to Colorado. We're going to be driving in my dad's car, which has a stickshift. Shudder. Must go to next class. I didn't get to finish my resume, but oh well. thechickennuggit 3/9/05 Today was a good day. I woke up at 6 am to get my driver's permit test, and got there, then I saw that to get my permit I needed my social security card... which I didn't have. My dad could have driven me home but he would've had to drive me right back to school, so he dropped me off at school really early. I had PE. I went into the locker room and talked to Chessica who was also insanely early to school. Then we went to the gym and we jogged, skipped, buttkicked, highkneed, slid, kareokied, ran, stretched, crunched, pushupped, strained, then we did the "fitness" activity. And this time I didn't feel nauseous and my face didn't go red. I was wearing my brand new peach shimmer scented clear gel platinum Secret brand deodorant, and I was wearing my good-attitude necklace of carnelian, green aventurine, and clear quartz. Maybe those helped me. The fitness activity was actually fun. I was in a group with Markus and Jessica. Then, we played pickleball, which is like four-player mini-tennis with wooden paddles and a whiffleball. I was a team with Markus. We won! I was so proud. Jessica was not playing pickleball; her PE class was doing weight training and she enjoyed the bench press. To tell the truth, I have never experienced the bench press. I would probably die. Anyways, after school I had PE make-up because while I was sick, I missed a few classes. There were about 25 people. The teacher was Mr. Chokino...? I think. And we actually had PE outside. It was nice. After running three laps around the huge track, we played soccer for the whole time. I hadn't played soccer in such a long time, so it was nice playing it. But. Mr. Chokino separated girls from boys, so there were two games going on. The boys got the big soccer field and an actual soccer ball. The girls got a sort of field, and a flat yellow rubber ball. This was not a yellow bouncy ball like the ones at recess. This was a yellow rubber ball like the ones toddlers play with, inside. It sucked. But, but. I scored two points. My team lost, two to four. Ah well. Luke, in my Global Studies class, played his guitar. It was so great. I wish I could make beautiful music like that... I wish I had musical talent. The one musical talent I have is piano: I can play any tune I hear, by ear. I wish I could sing, too. I wish, I wish... I advertised the link to this website on the Global Studies white board, and the English white board. I have to advertise it in all my classes! Yes!! Cogito ergo sum. thechickennuggit 3/12/05 Today is Saturday. Yesterday there was no school but I went there at 7am because I was in SHOE club, volunteering for the Green Schools Conference. At first I was grumbly about going because it was so early in the morning. But it turned out to be a lot of fun. I got a free T-shirt, size M not size S but oh well. It's red and it's really soft. Good quality. A bunch of grade schoolers from other schools came, and did activities like paper making and learning about recycling. I kind of helped the kids paper-make. It was like baby sitting; I just assumed they knew what they were doing, and just stood by and watched them, until the other volunteers came and pretty much did the job for them. I made my own green paper. It's circle, and it's embossed with a butterfly. So pretty. There was also free food there, sort of like cafeteria food except fresher and 100 times better because the place was full of organic hippies who opposed unhealthy greasy pizza. So great. I ate three apples. That's a record for me. Two gala apples and a granny smith. Of course they weren't that big. Ohhhh, they had such good sub sandwiches... I'm going to add to the "About me" page, adding my opinions on common controversial topics, blah blah blah. It's going to make me sound like a hypocritical idiot who barely knows what she's talking about. Oh well, it was fun to write, although it made me feel stupid sometimes. Here's a review on the Liquid Ice mints that TV keeps advertising. I bought some, Peppermint (blue) flavor, for $1.69 (pricey!!). The lil' container is so adorable. I popped a teeny blue mint in my mouth, and it tasted really good! The flavor kept coming as the thing melted into a sort of blob that didn't pop. It's really not like ice. It is liquid, but there's nothing icy about it. I think a more appropriate name for it is "Minty Bath Oils for the Mouth" but that sounds unappetizing. Anyway, the blob stayed in my mouth, tasting really good, but it just stayed there for so long and didn't disintegrate... so I finally popped it. And all the liquid came out. And suddenly I had a strong pepperminty feel all over in my mouth, which wasn't completely pleasant. But my breath probably smelled good. So: It's not worth the $1.69 in my opinion, but if you have the money and you collect mints, it's an interesting experience. Greenday sold out worse than Good Charlotte thechickennuggit 3/17/05 Okay, that's not fair. Greenday did not sell out. They have always made the same poppy and throw-away music (except for a few songs). They just caught everyone's attention this time by dissing Bush, and everyone likes dissing Bush. Ahhh St. Patricks day. I made sure I laid out some green clothes on the floor last night so that I wouldn't forget to wear green this morning. I had a pale green shirt with embroidered white beads. I still got pinched though. A girl in my class forgot it was St. P's day, so she had no green, and she got pinched, and she showed me how hard she got pinched. It hurt, sure enough. OMG OMG OMG today was the last day of school before spring break. I was kind of sad but hysterically excited. I can't wait to go to Colorado. We're leaving on Saturday (today is Thursday). It's going to be like a 24-hour ride there, driving all night, switching drivers. My dad and I eagerly stayed up one night a few days ago, on the library website, putting holds on books on tape/CD. We got about five books. My dad said he wasn't intrested in listening to my juvenile fiction books in the car, but I'm not sure if I'm interested in his non-fiction books, either. My dad wanted the books on CD's. I wanted books on tape. In the end, we both picked out a couple books that we wanted, and got CD's only when they were available. The car doesn't even have a CD player. That's why I didn't want to get CDs. But he was saying we could take an actual CD-player sterio into the car, running on batteries. I said it wouldn't work. So we tested it a few days ago. The CD wouldn't even load. So that idea is out. I don't know what we're planning to do with the CD books. Goodbye, goodbye for a week... thechickennuggit 3/25/05 I'm back from Colorado. I have tomorrow and the next day (Sat and Sunday) to do my homework. Today, I finished my math homework, which turned out to be really satisfying and kind of fun : ). But, I have a bunch of other stuff! Right now I have an N in English class and C in Writers Workshop. Heh. Bad grades in my two favorite classes. So I have to do assignments for those classes. Darn. Yeah, I love the classes, I just hate the homework!! I've started to really like the dress-up stuff on the internet, like Gaia Avatar Creator and Dollz. I love making cute outfits. I really should get to bed now thechickennuggit HOME+++ABOUT ME+++JOURNAL+++MY DRAWINGS SEND DREAM+++STORIES+++LINKS+++GEMSTONES |
