The many disguises of Glorious Gid
How to recognise him when you see him
Gid often visits the world which he created, be it to buy more milk or to check up on His beloved humans. Therefore it is probably worth your while if you look around for Him. Gid of course dresses in many differing disguises, and one of the major functions of the Church of Gid is to log and archive any sightings of Gid which are reported.

VIEW  A 3d rendering of Gid by GidDoctor Thutmoose

This image is a hypothetical rendering of Gid based on the testimony of over 2 dozen witnesses who have seen Gid over the past twenty years. Six of these witnesses are reliable, the others suspect due to either drug dependance or affilation with known spleen related factions. But regardless, Chris and the Church of Gid represented by him believes that this is a fairly accurate visualisation of what is now known as Gid's Angry Chicken Disguise. Notice the false bottom jaw and multiple arms.

VIEW  An archival photograph of Gid and his friends fighting in the Crimean War.

Gid is the 5th from the left, wearing white. This photograph was released to the NSA from the Soviet archives in 1999, and then duly stolen by the Gidian operative we have working in that agency, and have had for some time. Gid's operations in the Crimean War are legendary. Gid singlehandedly defeated a battalion of English troops by commandering an artillery piece and pointing it TOWARDS the English, a novel practise at the time. Gid was awarded with the Order of the Knights of the Brown Turban for these heroics.

VIEW  Gid after a hard night

It is not known for sure which night this photograph is referring to, but it is possibly the Sarah night or the Scotch and Cola night. Gid is wearing his I am Gid pajamas, illustrating some of his Glorious foresight in getting ready for bed even BEFORE his evening out, thus ensuring a comfortable nights slumber in the appropriate sleepwear.

VIEW  Gid as depicted by the renaissance artist Andrea dr Flanico

Dating from the 1660s, Andrea di Flanico depicts Gid as a young male, a common persona for Gid to adopt. Many questions arise from this image. Why is He wearing a skirt? Men wore skirts in those days, and even if they didn't, Gid can be excused because in the context of the one True cult, wearing a skirt in the 1660s can be considered a postmodern, deconstructive gesture. This is further emphasised by the bright colours of His ensemble, the inexplicable headwear and the incomprehensible lettering on the back of his shirt, which is generally taken to mean either 'I am Gid' with an arrow pointing to himself or 'I am Gid!' But this is a question for intellectuals, NOT devout Gidians, who are not supposed to think too much lest they discover flaws in their faith.

Of course, as Gid is all powerful, this can never be a completely comprehensive collection of the disguises of Gid. Please send in any photographs or historical illustrations you may have of our saviour to Chris Thutmoose.
