The Fall Cabin Classic will be here before you know it. The triumphant return of this tournament is set for September 25th at Catawba Willows up on Catawba Island at Lake Erie. | Richard Rules the Cabin Arriving a day early to prepare himself psychologically, Richard tore through the front 9 of a brutally challenging Catawba Willows in 33 net strokes. Vince, Jeff and John were close through nine, but each found interesting ways of shooting themselves in the foot. Despite some errant shots of his own, Richard held on through the inward nine and finished two strokes ahead of Vince to capture the inaugural Cabin Classic with a net 73. The social component of the Cabin Classic was enjoyed by all and declared a unanimous success. Sitting around a roaring bonfire near the dock on the bay put just the right mood into the event. Good company, chestnuts roasting on an open fire, cold beer straight from an icy cooler, extra logs delivered by golf cart, a spirited debate about Ohio geography, and a slowly rising full moon. Who could ask for more? Tom's Cabin has already been nominated as the site of Lobsterfest 2000. Congratulations Richard, and great job Tom. |
