After a decade of dedication, an unimagined record 6 wins in the Lobsterfest and an unprecedented run at the low handicap index in the club, Jeff captured his first Club Championship at Champions on August 21st. Jeff made 8 straight pars on Sunday to build a substantial lead but then played holes 13 through 16 at 7 over par while John played them even. John drew close with a 79 on Sunday and got within one stoke after the 70th hole after Jeff made a triple bogey on #16, but Jeff's four on #17 kept him on top to stay. All agreed that Champions was a great place to win a club championship.

The Championship Banquet on Saturday night at the Spaghetti Warehouse was an overwhelming success. Our reservation went without a hitch and got us a table in the desirable upstairs dining room. Numerous votes have already been cast for a repeat in 2006.
