March 20. News and Notes.....The league returned last Sunday and some great games were played. The playoffs are coming soon and the teams are gearing up for the stretch drive. In the Western Conference the Dallas Stars trail the Avalanche by only 4 points for the final playoff spot. So it looks like it'll be a fight to the finish! In the Eastern Conference Pittsburgh, Washington, Detroit and Tampa Bay have all locked up playoff spots already. Pittsburgh is running away with 1st place overall but 2nd spot in the East and home ice advantage is up for grabs. It should be quite the battle between those 3 teams to see who gets it......The Ottawa Senators have been playing some great hockey as of late winning their first 3 games of the season now that their gm LL is back. Ottawa should be a force next year after they get a high pick in this years draft....Montreal also is aiming for next year and continues to beat some of the top teams in the league and should also fight for a playoff spot next season.......In other news, the Pittsburgh Penguins have decided to listen to trade offers for disgruntled forwards Mario Lemieux and Alexi Kovalev so the gm CM 's phone may be ringing off the hook with offers for these 2 superstars!
March 16. Announcement.......Due to lack of interest (Only a few teams signed up) the 2 on 2 tournament has been cancelled indefinitely.
March 16. News and Notes.......Due to circumstances beyond our control the league hasn't played any games for the past month. Now everything has been taken care of and we are ready to RUMBLE again starting this Sunday. The playoff drive stretch will begin with plenty of great matchups to come.
