#7 Ottawa Senators Keep your heads up boys! The Sens are the biggest team in the league; they also placed first in checking. This could make for some hard-hitting action. Decent speed, depth, and goal tending round out a very nice team. ”Note to self turn hitting to low when hosting Ottawa” #8 Vancouver Canucks Good placing in the d speed categories and respectable finishes in checking goaltending and the top forwards help lock the nucks into this spot. This is my pick for the sleeper team in the west. A season of maturing could bump playa up a few notches in the power ranking! #9 Dallas Stars #1 in team depth and stellar goaltending and a 3rd place in endurance are the keys in the big D. But speed is a serious concern. Dallas boasts the oldest team in the league, can experience overcome youth and energy? Maybe not but when you have the 2 of the best goalies in the league, who cares right V? #10 Washington Capitals Washington finished third in the top forwards category showing they can put some speed on the ice. Their d speed is suspect though, And need to improve in the depth department. However if Hec shortens the bench he has a pretty decent team. #11 Colorado Avalanche The Avs placed fairly in the team and forward speed categories but dead last in the top D category, 11th in the top forwards category, and 10th in overall d speed, Which hurt their rankings considerably. Goaltending is also a serious issue. Adding a little speed and depth up front will vastly improve savages boys. and last but not least...... (or maybe in this case, it is least.) #12 Toronto Checking and goaltending are virtually the only upsides here. Especially when you’re the slowest team in the league. If Toronto had any one at the helm they might consider taking out an insurance policy on Cujo. He is likely to see more rubber than the 401 during weekday gridlock! *THESE RANKINGS ARE THE 100 PERCENT OPINION OF GRINDER, AND ANY LAWSUITS, SEVERE BEATINGS, OR ANY OTHER HARMFUL ACTS SHOULD BE POINTED AT HIM, AND ONLY HIM. |
