The Coffee Gallery in North Beach is back

Hey all you hepcats out there. Remember the Coffee Gallery? Once the
home
of the Beat poets, and of jazz, and home grown folk music? It was sold
in
the 80's and became the Lost and Found. Well, its under new management
now,
and is, once again, the Coffee Gallery. Located at 1361 Grant ave (at
Green), in North Beach, the Coffee Gallery will once again host open
mic
nights on Wednesday's,starting at 8pm,  Hosted by Girl George, who ran
it
back in the early 70's. There is no door charge, and all are free to
sign
up and perform (and perform what you will). Artists will be allowed to
display artwork on the walls once again (with permission of management,
of
course). And, even though poetry is allowed, and encouraged! on
Wednesday
open mic, Tuesdays will be the designated poetry night. This all starts
July 11th, and will be weekly. So, come, beleagured SF artists, to your
old/new home, and, perform! Or, watch!

yes, this is a reprint of the squid list anouncement, but I, Windy, your loving webmistress, have too much of a headache tonight to be more creative. more coming, I Swear.
Don't mess with the Open Mic host, Girl George!
