Weight Loss Contest

 

Rules:

1.     Each participant will try to lose %13 of his current body weight between the beginning of contest and the ending date.  His target weight will be calculated at first weigh-in.  (Fractions will be rounded up to the nearest ½ pound)

2.     Contest will begin October 13th and end January 19th.

3.     Weigh-in will be on October 13th which will be followed by subsequent weigh-ins every 2 weeks. (Allowances will be made for schedule conflicts.)

4.     Weigh-in will be clothed, minus shoes, wallet, change, etc…

5.     Weigh-in will be on a digital scale so guessing on the position of a “needle” will not be a factor.

6.     All participants will weigh less at each subsequent weigh-in or forfeit their claim to the prize.

7.     A prize will be awarded to whichever contestant is closest to if above, or up to, but not exceeding 10 lbs below his target weight, not by whoever lost most weight, nor by greatest amount lost beyond target weight. (This is to prevent anyone from getting ill by losing too much weight too rapidly.  Remember, this contest is a marathon, not a sprint.)

8.     The prize will be an “All you can eat buffet dinner at winner’s choice of Ryan’s or Golden Corral,” paid by all contest losers regardless of how loss or forfeiture occurred.

9.     One weigh-in may be missed or omitted at participant’s discretion, but only one.

10.                        All diets and their variants are at each participant’s own discretion.  A reduced but balanced diet and regular exercise is recommended.
