[title- Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone] [MPAA rating] - PG [realeased] - 2001, November [starring] - Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, Rupert Grint, Richard Harris [plot] - This is a movie based on the extraordinarily popular book series. Both book and movie revolve around an orphan boy named Harry Potter. On his 11th birthday, Potter discovers that he possess magical powers. From there he is sent off to Hogwarts, an English boarding school for wizards. After this event my attention span kind of terminated, I proceeded to try to wake up the sleeping 8-year old in front of me for the rest of the movie. [pros] - It was entertaining for the most part - good visuals - loyal fans of the book will love it - will make tons of money - stayed true to the book [cons] - terrible acting - climax was weak - no asian wizard!!!!! - much too long - no hot wizard girls, even worst no hot wizard teachers [rating] - 5/10, C [bottom line] - Read the book, watch the movie (maybe), go buy the merchandise, pretend to be Harry Potter with your friends, then get kicked out of high school for devil worshiping. |
