The Creative Spirit Newsletter

January 4

Welcome to a new year!  I hope you have had a happy holiday season.  Thank you to everyone who sent in holiday greetings.  It was wonderful to hear from so many of you!

As we edge our way into a new year and find some kind of routine again, I am beginning the newsletter with some beautiful photos!  Don Cameron (Redhawk), from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada has sent in all of these gorgeous snow and ice scenes.  They were all taken over the past couple weeks.

Saskatchewan is a Canadian province--one of the 'prairie provinces' devoted to growing many kinds of grain.  The city of Saskatoon is a medium-sized town and is further north than many other Canadian cities.  For this reason the winter days are colder, the nights longer, and the air is crisp and invigorating.   The land is very flat and one can see for great distances in all directions.  I hope you enjoy your pictorial journey through this province!

This just in!  Big congratulations to Cheyhusky, who has been invited to present her poetry and receive the International Poet of Merit Award at Poetry.com and The International Society of Poets' Spring Convention and Symposium in March 2002, at Walt Disney World.

 Blessings......  Cheyenne
