July 28, 1999 -- Korn recieved 9 MTV Video Award Nominations for "Freak On A Leash". This was more than any other artist. Nominations include "Video of the Year" "Special Effects", "Direction" and more. See MTV News for more details.
July 21, 1999 -- Korn is expected to be on stage at 9:10 p.m. on Friday night at Woodstock. No word on the pay-per-view broadcast, although it assumed they will broadcast Korn's perfomance live.
July 20, 1999 -- Korn is playing a secret show in Hollywood TONIGHT at a secret location. For those of you in the Los Angeles area that were lucky enough to get one of the 400 tickets congratulations. Hopefully notes on the show will be available tomorrow.
July 20, 1999 -- In a recent radio interview Jonathan Davis confirmed that 11 songs have been written for album #4, rap artist Outkast is on one track, the album is "heavy as hell", and the songs will tie together to tell the Korn story from 1994 until now. Davis also confirmed that his solo project is on hold.
July 7, 1999 -- Jonathan poped in at Korn.com again with another update. He says that the songs remind them of other bands and that he is setting up a studio in his home that will feature a 24-7 live webcam.
June 26, 1999 -- Some news and a rumor or two to report. Jonathan Davis appears on the Limp Bizkit record on a track called "Nobody Like You". * Korn is still scheduled to play Woodstock, probably on Saturday night July 24. * Rumored song titles for the fourth record are "Planets" and "Watch Me Fagets". * "All in the Family" may be released as a single and video....just a rumor though.
June 16, 1999 -- Korn.com has put up a report from Jonathan Davis straight from the studio. He mentions that they are working with producer Brendan O'Brien and that so far they have laid down eight tracks and that they are very heavy and similar to the first record. Looks like we will be jamming new Korn very soon.
June 6, 1999 -- Happy 29th Birthday to James "Munky" Shaffer.
June 4, 1999 -- Korn has now officially entered the studio to begin work on their fourth record according to the band's management. This will be a slow time for news on the band but look for some new features here at the Korn Krib in the next week or so.
June 2, 1999 -- "Freak On A Leash" is currently #9 on Billboard's Modern Rock Charts.
May 24, 1999 -- Epic has now put up a page for the No Boundries cd. It features a remix of "Freak On A Leash" which you can hear a soundbite of at the site. Also "FOAL" has not been pulled by MTV as runors had suggessted.
May 23, 1999 -- It seems David is still having problems with his hands, and doctors have advised him to quit drumming for a while. No word yet on how this may affect the recording of Korn's fourth record which is expected to begin on June 1st.
May 16, 1999 -- Sonicnet is reporting that Korn will begin recording the follow up to "Follow the Leader" on June 1st, according to Korn's management. They will work with producer Brendan O'Brien on the record who is known for his work with Pearl Jam and Rage Against the Machine. The album is expected to be released later this year. |

May 14, 1999 -- The No Boundries benefit album will feature a remix of "Freak On A Leash". It is due in stores on June 15th. Also rumors are circulating that the "Freak On A Leash" video has been pulled from rotation due to the Colorado shootings. The video which depicts a traveling bullet has not been pulled as far as I know because I just saw it on Wednesday. |

May 8, 1999 -- Korn to appear on Kosovo refugee benefit album! The album titled No Boundries is due on June 15th and will feature live and unreleased tracks from Korn, Pearl Jam, Silverchair, and more. |

May 5, 1999 -- Rock is Dead is officially cancelled! The remaining dates of the tour are now officially cancelled according to Korn's management, The Firm. David, the drummer, was suffering from numbness in one of his hands, but is okay now. It looks like the band may take a little time off and begin work on the new record. They will play Woodstock the weekend of July 23-25. |

May 2, 1999 -- Korn has had to cancel the last 3 dates of the "Rock is Dead" tour due to an injury to David's hand. No word on what the injury is but the band does plan to reschedule the shows and maybe even add a few dates onto the tour. More as it comes. |

April 21, 1999 -- Lots of Korn news to report!! First of all the "Freak On A Leash" import single is now available. No new tracks just remixes. You can order it at Amazon.com. ** Fieldy has begun work on a solo hip hop album for release late this year. ** Rumors are also flying that Jonathan may be working on a solo project. ** The new Korn record may be released as early as September. ** It is now confirmed that Limp Bizkit will headline Family Values 99. Their new record is due June 22 and is titled Insignifigant Other. |

April 11, 1999 -- The Family Values Tour 98 cd debuted at #7 on the Billboard charts. Pretty good for a live album. Follow the Leader is currently #15. |

April 10, 1999 -- KORN TO PLAY WOODSTOCK!! Woodstock 99 has released the list of performers for this years show, and Korn is on the bill. Other acts of intrest include Limp Bizkit, The Offspring, Metallica, Creed, Rage Against the Machine, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Foo Fighters, and the return of Guns N' Roses. The show will take place July 23-25 at an old Airforce base in Rome, New York. Tickets go on sale April 25th and are $150. The event will most likely be shown on pay-per-view also. |

April 5, 1999 -- Rumors are flying that Korn may be one of the headliners at the Woodstock 30th Anniversary show. More news as it comes. Also it looks definite now that Limp Bizkit will headline Family Values 99. Korn will not be on the tour since they will be working on the new album. |

| April 2, 1999 -- This Sunday Korn will host 3 hours of there favorite videos on MTV. It starts at 12 p.m. central. I won't be able to see it so if anyone does, please e-mail me if they give any important news. |

March 31, 1999 -- Right now the band is finishing up the "Rock is Dead" tour with Rob Zombie and then plans on making the follow up to "Follow the Leader". There should also be a "Who Then Now?" part 2 out in the summer.
March 31, 1999 -- Yesterday saw the release of the "Family Values" cd and video. Look for a review of both sometime in the next couple of days right here in the news.
