Programming Links

Programmer's Portal - Everything that you could ever want in a programming site. This place is the awesomest programming resource on the web. They have tutorials, compilers, examples, and links. It has a search engine of the site so that you can look through their vast archives with speed and ease. If they don't have it right there, then they have a link to it. If you have a site on programming, then give them the URL and they'll add it to their site for free. You have to check this place out. You'll keep coming back.
Programmer's Heaven - Good site with a search engine. Not as many resources as Programmer's Portal and more leaned towards examples. So if you learn by studying the code of others, then this is the place to get it. With a new layout and design, this site has improved greatly.
Chicken Frier - This site doesn't have much content, but it has a good layout and some programming resources that you might be able to use and it's run by a friend of mine. If you are really lazy (which is not good for a hacker) and you have money, you can pay him to make a site for you.
Rent-A-Coder - if you get good at a particular programming language, you can make some extra cash by going here. People come here with a description of a program that they want written and programmer's can bid on the project. The one with the lowest bid gets the project and they write the program and give it and the source code to the employer and they mail you the check.
Realm Builder - another one of the sites that I am running that is a freeware programmer's club. If you want more details, then come here. You can even sign up to join the group if you want to.

Hacker Links

Try to Hack - just like the name says. This is a site to go to to practice hacking. It's nothing illegal, and it's good for your HTML and JavaScript skills just to follow they're lines of reasoning. The higher the level, the harder it gets.

Web Design Links

HTML Guru - This is the absolute best site on the web. The layout is great, the timing is perfect, and the animations are stunning. It is designed by a true hacker. He has some awesome code on the site and a full tutorial on how to make your own are with it and available for download. If you want to learn DHTML (after you know HTML really good and JavaScript mildly), go to this site and get the tutorial. You will love this site.
Portland Server - a web-hosting server that has both free and pay-for hosting. If you have a web site and want it to be put on the internet for others to look at, then go here and sign up for their free service. You will get CGI support as well as PHP and just about every other scripting resource you want. I have a site hosted by them right now and they're service is great and server's stable. What more could you want from a free Web Hosting Provider?

Linux Links

Linux.Com - probably the most popular Linux web site. It has info for all versions of Linux but is focused mostly on Mandrake Linux. Has a lot of resources and is a good place to go if your new to Linux or and expert at Linux.
Corel Linux - the official site of the Corel release of Linux which is based totally on the Debian kernel (if you don't know what that means, don't worry about it, you have to use Linux for a little while before it all starts sinking in). It offer's tech-support and downloads that run on Corel Linux.

Miscellaneous Links

WinRar - although I would seriously recommend switching to Linux if you plan to do serious hacking, there are many resources available for Windows. However, most of these resources are large and are compressed online before you download them to improve download speed. In order to un-compress them, use one of the utilities at this site. I would recommend WinRar because it cover's so many different types of compression files, but WinZip will probably suffice for starting with.
Yahoo! E-Groups - there are so many groups here that you can always find something to talk about. The forums are great and cover any topic you want to learn about. Just about everybody is friendly and willing to help you. An excellent resource and a great way to really get involved in hacking.
