Now that the 80's are over, the DEAD remain as the only band out there still rocking out the way God intended. A new generation is now discovering the Metal icon that is the DEAD, and upon clamoring to find the band's older releases, all of the new DEAD fans come to the same conclusion: The band has too many releases, and many of them are too scarce to come by. Hangaman, DEADkowski, and SAMFM led the way in a brutal fight with their record company to give the fans what they all knew they wanted: One easy-to-find box set containing everything the band has released before the year 2000. Death Records did not like the idea, claiming that reprints of each old release would see better sales. The DEAD, never the type to screw their fans over, broke their ties with Death Records and released the box set independantly under their new-found label, BetterThanDeath Records.
