Profile 01: "The Mystery Girl" This is what Kari was known as when she first appeared on the show. Kari is Tai's little sister and out of all the DigiDestined, she is the Pocket Mystic of the group. Her first appearance was in the episode "Home Away From Home". She was sick and she couldn't go to summer camp with the others, a factor that was a part of Gatomon's past. Anyway, she said she knew Koromon, but she had never been to the Digital World even though she says she has. This makes Tai come up with a lot of questions.
Her next appearance and from then on, Kari was the focus during the "Eighth Child Saga." She was the Eighth Child but nobody figured this out and it led to a lot of confrontations. Eventually, Gatomon with her friend Wizardmon's help found that out. A battle then began for the future of everything. Kari realized that she was in the center of it all, and being the kind person that she was, gave herself up to Myotismon so that Matt, Sora and their Digimon would be safe.
One of her devasting tragedies was Wizardmon's Death at the hands of Myotismon. Even today she moarns over the loss of her friend. One of her greatest successes was having Gatomon digivolve to Angewomon and defeating Myotismon once and for all.
Perhaps, her weirdest encoiunter was in the episode "The Ultimate Clash" Tai and Matt were fighting and Kari was speaking to an entity. It was only able to speak to her, so it borrowed Kari's body in order to communicate to the DigiDestined. Kari didn't remember what happened, but I'm guessing she was clued in eventually. This is one of the weird things about Kari.
Kari also got sick in the Digital World and Tai was in a panic for she nearly died before because of him. Another of her sucesses' was whenever she glowed in her light that she had, it made the other Digimon stronger and it was the key to defeating both WaruMonzaemon and Machinedramon, and reuniting with the others.
Lastly, she had to say goodbye to Gatomon, but the strangest thing was that she said that she would see her again. Gatomon was confused as well as everybody else about what Kari said. As an act of friendship, she gave Gatomon her camp whistle. She said it doubles as a flea collar which I thought was quite funny.
Profile 02: Kari has changed a lot since Season 1. Mainly because she now wears a camera around her neck for she loves taking pictures. It's one of her hobbies. At this time, the rivalry between Davis and TK began over who would get her. She often sided with TK to make Davis jealous, but at times she sided with him because was right in that particular situation.
Kari was also surprised about the fact that Gatomon could Armor Digivolve, but the odd thing is. When Gatomon does become Nefertimon, she goes from Champion to Champion while the others go from Rookie to Champion. Strange isn't it?
The best episode with Kari was "His Masters Voice" as it showed a side of Kari we'd never seen before. Kari has Darkness inside of her and there are these creatures trying to take her to the Dark Ocean, a world paralell to the Digital World. Kari feels great pain when there is Darkness around her. It keeps trying to get her and she feels it more than anyone else does. Examples include The episdoe where she saw the Dark Ocean with Yolei and Ken. She was too scared to fight it and she held her head in pain only to be snapped out of it by Yolei. Another time was when MaloMyotismon unleashed his Dark Power and Kari held her head again saying that she could feel the Darkness. If it were not for her friends and Gatomon, she might not have beaten the Darkness.
Out of all the DigiDestined, she was the first one to think that BlackWarGreymon was lonely because of what he was. Although the others, apart from Cody saw him as something evil, she saw him as being misguided and confused over what he was.
During this season, Kari was much better than she was in season 1. She had a more important role and her light guided the others whenever neccessary.
Episode 104: Kari becomes a Teacher, although some say for a Kingtegarden, it wasn't mentioned in TK's narrative. She does have a son, although who she married isn't known at this time. Some say she married TK, others say Davis. But, since it wasn't mentioned, we may never find out now, unless they all return one day. All in all, Kari is my favorite DigiDestined, I just like her for she and I have many things in common with what we say and do. Continue on forever, Child of Light.
