Set your scanner ON ! To enhance your dating experience is to be observant. The first time you go to a new setting or meet new people, hold back a bit and spend first half hour or so just observing what's going on. See who knows, how people behave with each other, and where the action is. By observing people before you meet them, you can determine who you would most like to meet, and perhaps even learn somethings about your choice. Remember, you're here to learn - about other people and about yourself. Notice the people around you By observing the people in attendace at any event, you can learn a lot. If you're in a class, watch who seems to be most knowledgeable, who helps others, who tries to impress the teacher. If you're at a party watch who seems to be genuinely liked, who clowns around, who is gregarious, who is shy. Notice what people are wearing and anything unuaual about them. You can use it to begin a conversation later. What interests you about different people ? Conversation is available anywhere You don't have to be at an organized event to practice your conversational skills. Standing in line at the bank or supermarket, waiting at the laundromat for your clothes to dry, or sitting at the local coffee bar on your lunch hour are all good opportunities to begin a conversation. If you have been observant, you will have plenty of ideas to talk about. If you're in grocery store, for example, and the person in line in front of you has charcoal, hot dogs, buns and sodas in the cart, you can observe that it should be a great weekend for a cookout.
