Queen

The true super power of the board. The very survival of the game depends on whether or not this piece can stay in the game and bring down the opposition. Without the Queen, the game is virtually over. In fact, I cannot place enough emphasis on just how important it is to keep your Queen in tact.

We have a Queen. His name is Stephen Sharp.

Sharp used to be a bishop. She used to waltz around the board, trying to convince the innocent that he was fantastic using the goodwill that lay dormant in his heart. Then, one day, the pretender to throne realised that they only way that she could taste true power… was by blackening her heart.

The black Queen. The black witch. Connotations of evil are afoot.

And so the black Queen prevailed over the bishop in a tussle that saw the game shake with emotion. No one thought that a character that associated herself with such pureness could turn like she did. They were wrong.

I’ve never liked our Queen. He’ll never like me. However, we now share a common hatred for the bishops, the do-gooders and the Dominic Pericolo’s of this game.

Her importance is only eclipsed in value by our saviour. The King himself.
