Kuttipuram: Errors - They occur at all times. It is true even in the case of Daliya Beegum. A few days back after packing few of her belongings, which were to be transported to her home, she wrote this instruction on top of it - 'Care with Handle'. So what is the big deal? It is a slip of...say, pen...But the point is that Daliya is an Instrumentation Engineer and the most important duty of an instrumentation Engineer is to minimize errors. If an Instrumentation Engineer starts making errors, then, just imagine the case of ordinary people...Daliya is not the only Instrumentation Engineer who has committed errors...Last week Joe John Simpson, on of our friends in the Computer class, asked Razal what his phone number was. Razal replied that it was0496-666680. Upon hearing this Joe told him that his Hex to BCD convertor wasn't working and requested Razal to say his phone number in BCD system. Now Razal who is usually good with Mathematics didn't have a clue about the BCD equivalent of Hyphen...He was really confused and after a lot of thinking, he finally said,"0000 0010 1001 0110 hmmmmm...errr....oooooohhhhh.....aaaahhhhhh.....0101......to hell with...... 0110 0110 0110 0110 1000 0000." Later Joe tried this number many times and all he got was 'Error Messages'! A tale of two Instrumentation Engineers...maybe...

Varghese wins his battle with the Yahoo

Perumbavoor: Our dear old Vargu finally won his battle for a Yahoo ID. He tried for three continuous weeks to create a new Yahoo Mail ID. At the end of the third week he got really mad and decided to go to the Yahoo's office in India. He marched directly to the MD's room. With a neat tackle, he overpowered the MD and soon he got on top of the MD. He then asked the MD,"Why don't you let me have a Yahoo ID?". Vargu's weight was too much for the poor MD. The MD somehow manged to say,"Okay, I'll create a new ID for you. Tell me your name." "Varghese Abhilash...you can call me Abi.",replied Vargu. Within two minutes, the MD created a new ID for Vargu. That was how Vargu earned his new ID - abiontop@yahoo.com. Well, I forgot to mention one thing...the MD was a lady...

Prasanth Sankar undergoes hair transplantation surgery

Edapal: Prasanth Sankar once again amazed the world by becoming the first human being to undergo complete hair transplantation. To add to it, he received his new hair from a lion. From the day he was born, Prasanth was worried about his curly hair. Because of the curls in his hair, whenever he took a bath (once in half a dozen a blue moons) the water just bounced off his head and as a result he was forced to stop using the shower. Since then he had been thinking about a hair transplantation surgery. The operation was conducted at Edapal Hospital by a team of surgeons from Uganda. There are reports that following the surgery, Prasanth began to exhibit some of the traits of the lion. Like when he was served lunch, he all of a sudden went to a corner behind the fridge and motioned everyone to be silent and then suddenly jumped on to the table and ate everything in a single gulp and after that he roared aloud like a lion. But then he suddenly became normal. Scientists said that such symtoms are usually found in people who have watched the new Hindi movie - AKS.
