The Rum Tum Tugger is the "ladies man" cat. Nearly all the female cats in the tribe are obsessed with him. All of the kittens are and in particular, Bomby. He is a bit of a show off and some of the older cats don't like him because of it.
Most of the younger male cats, like Plato, Pouncival, Alonzo, etc want to be him. They are always found dancing behind him in the "Rum Tum Tugger" song.
Tugger is one of the main male dancer roles like Mistoffelees and Skimbleshanks. He is usually dancing with Bombalurina when the cats are paired off even though he teases her and flirts with Jemima instead, in the "Rum Tum Tugger" song.
"...If you put me in a house I would much prefer a flat. If you put me in a flat then I'd rather have a house..."
