FAMILY
A happy family is an organized family!  We all like and need structure in our lives!  This page is a tip page for keeping a well balanced, in order family!  Sometimes it gets hectic, especially when your kids are busy.  I have a few techniques that work for me and keep me sane, and I hope that others will share their ideas too!
Neatness Counts!
Give each person in your family their own colored laundry baskets.  From toddler to adult, it makes it much easier to pick up and put away.  If each person has their own color, they can always spot their own mess!  From a toy basket, to a folded clothes to be put away basket, to their own colored towel for the bathroom.  It teaches everyone to be responsible for their own mess!
Everyone should chip in at home!  From the youngest to the oldest, there is always something that someone can do in their age range.  Let the youngest put the silverware away, while the oldest does the dishes.  Or the youngest can set the silverware for dinner while the oldest does the plates and napkins.  My 3 year old even loves to dust.  I give her a sock on her hand and let her run wild over the furniture, after my middle son has removed everything from the top and then he places it back when she is finished.  We work in teams here, makes life so much easier when you have a very active, busy household.
Hooks, Pockets and places for everything
Put hooks on the walls for your kids to hang their stuff.  They will pick up easier if they only have to throw it on a hook.  Take shoe organizers and put on closet doors for toys and books.  Makes a great barbie or GI Joe organizer!  Stacking baskets are great for the kids, and they don't mind playing a game of toss the toy to see if they make it in!
ARTISTS
Do you have a wall artist in your house?  Ugh!  Save yourself the time and trouble cleaning crayon and marker off walls by putting clear contact paper on a closet door, or area of wall that your child can reach.  Designate this area as their own, and they have an instant dry erase board!
Under the Bed hide away
Do your kids shove alll their stuff under their beds?  Take blanket containers and place them under the bed.  The kids can pull them out and fill them up.  Easy hide away toy storage and the kids don't feel like they've cheated!
