Kagome is a school girl who was helping her brother look
for their cat when she fell into the well that took her to the fuedal era
where she saved a half demon. Thinking she was like her reincarnation Kikyo
and could use the bow and arrows she shot one, accidentally breaking
the shard. After that she helped Inuyasha to find the rest of the
shards and get even with Naraku.
Kagome is the reincarnation of the priestess Kikyo.
At school back in the future her Grandpa has told everyone
at the school that she suffers from various odd and some
deadly diseases, one involving her feet.
The reason she could pass through the well the first time
was because she had a jewell shard stuck in her side. When
it was cut out she just stared at it thoughtfully.
