Ramirez al'Shoyen is a Child of the Light Underofficer. He has been a Child for most of his life, chosen by the great warrior Erengol. The young man eagerly joined the clan in an attempt to destroy shadowspawn.

When he was still young, he witnessed the destrcution done by vile shadowspawn as they slaughtered his friends and innocent people around him. He was traveling from his home in the countryside of Tarabon, to search the land, when his wagon train was mercilessly destroyed.

Escaping into the woods with his life, he vowed this would never happen again. When the day came that Child Erengol approached him, he found his chance for revenge.

Now after years of being a Child of the Light, this tested warrior, rests after a long battle. Seeing the death across the lands dealt by darkfriends and shadowspawn, he will stop at nothing to bring them all to their deaths, to the justice of the Light. Not even the witches of Tar Valon will hold him back.

Travelling with Child Exodio one day, a wicked witch by the name of Tara appeared out of nowhere and beat the Child within inches of his life. Thankfully, the Light shined upon Child Exodio and he was given another chance to fight back and destroy shadowspawn.

The witches, darkfriends and shadowspawn will someday be gone from this land. And Ramirez stands ready and knows the Children of the Light will be there to see it.
