For those NIN fans out their, today was a day that would be remembered The Big Day Out, a sold out festival, had an excess of 50,000 attendies, who over 30,000 went for NIN. Being an outdoor festival, the set list was compromised, thus The Great Below and La Mer were cut, also due to the 1 1/4 hr time slot. So to the many hardcore NIN fans that turned up, they were treated to an early mosh with the Atari Teenage Riot. The German 'noisy' group, which despite not being big in Australia, got a really good crowd following. Im not going to even attempt a set list so dont ask! The ATR concert ended at 1:30 pm, and NIN started at 7:30pm, so their was a long wait ahead for us NIN fans. In between that time there was the shitty likes of Blink 182 (fucking skaties), Foo Fighters and more. The Foo Fighters were before NIN, and with 15 mins left in their set, Dave was asking the crowd if they wanted some more, and all the NIN fans proceeded to chant "Nine Inch Nails" continuosly, until the foo fighters got pissed and played over the top of us. Finally our prayers were answered and foo fighters got off the stage, i know the gods realized trent was here, as the sky had become very overcast and rain would soon be upon us, the best thing for Queensland hot weather.

I think the set list was as follows (i cant fully remember, courtesy of Dr Martins hitting my head!) Head Like A Hole, Terrible Lie, Sin, Piggy, March Of The Pigs, The Frail, The Wretched, Gave Up, Into The Void, Get Down Make Love, No You Don't, Even Deeper, Wish, Starfuckers Inc, Closer and Hurt

After Starfuckers, trent started mumbling something to the crowd, not many ppl could make out what it was, ppl grew tired and started chanting closer, so the band took cue, and 30,000+ ppl singing i wanna fuck you like an animal is great! Now trent stopped and started to thank the band members, for both performing and helping make the fragile. He then went on to say how he liked the chilli peppers and they were up next, then with the crowds support, he broke into Hurt, the closer. Once again 30,000+ ppl singing along to this was an experience i shalt never forget. Only one problem in the whole night, was that trents singing was out of time for the majority of the songs, this sounded bad, but the fact that NIN haven't visted Australia in 6 years made up for it. During the set, it began to rain, and since the mosh pit was heaps more fierce than the mosh pits of the europeon leg of the tour (i watched the mtv special), so the whole crowd was applauding the skies. It looked like God knew trent was here! Trent also hurt himself heaps, the security/medics were helping him up from falls during songs, yet the music didn't really suffer. As always Robin, Danny and Charlie were looking awesome, especially Robin, he looked absolutely awesome, and was a crowd favourite too! The most pit was very fierce, which was awesome, yet it made it hard to take photos, and when the heavans opened up on the crowd, all were cheering on the rain.

THis being the first time ive ever seen NIN live, i am still in total bliss even now, and the concert finished some days ago, it will be a moment i will never forget.
