We have moved gaming to our house, check out this site for more info: http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/NevadaCountyGamers/
This is one of our favorite hangouts in Nevada City. The place has a great atmosphere. There are tables to sit at and couches to lounge on.
No alcohol is served, but there is a wide variety of coffees, teas, hot chocolates, Italian sodas and more, along with a magnificent selection of desserts and an assortment of snacks. Our favorite: Toasted French bread with brie cheese and pesto.
We started this gaming get-together at the beginning of April. Only three of the families present the first night were familiar with German-type games. But since there has always been a very enthusiastic and open-minded crowd, learning new games has not been an issue.
This is for adults, which means parents can’t just drop off their kids while the rest of us baby-sit. But teenagers who need no supervision are most welcome.
