Three games were played over
the board tonight, and 2 further results were decided by the withdrawal of Paul
Evans from Flood Cup 2003. As a result of Paul’s withdrawal, George and Andrew
receive one point forfeits for rounds 2 and 3 respectively.
Harvey played well and obtained a couple of pawns advantage against Gabby in their top of the table clash. Aaron won decisively in the end but had to find a long battle of attrition to reach this stage. Mike was the exchange up against John but then threw away a queen for no compensation, due to what he claimed was ‘the fog of war’.
