The Origins of Inquisitor Hasimous
Much of the origins and motives of this lucrative Inquisitor are unknown. Although he appears to be of the Xanthite faction, and aims to use chaos to defeat itself, he does not hide in the shadows as other members of the same movement do, only in the presence of the common people and weak willed will he hide the results of his experiments into chaos. However, among other Inquisitors he makes seemingly little effort to disguise his allegiance, a attitude that has greatly offended other Inquisitors, not least Tyrus, a individual which he has come into many conflicts with before.

What is known to the High Lord Inquisitors is not known. The knowledge they have on Inquisitor Hasimous will not be disclosed by them for this report. It is known that because of his attitude and previous circumstances he has been closely monitored by his superiors. Observations have shown that he has to make regular reports to them, as often as one Terra Month, and a regular pilgrimage to the Inquisition HQ every half century, or face repercussions.

The information below is based on the knowledge that Witch Hunter Tyrus has accumulated, in backup for his case against Inquisitor Hasimous. This comes mainly from the confession of Inquisitor Hasimous’s previous mentor, the late Inquisitor Berton-Heximous, a member of the Amalathians faction, who was found guilty of Heresy after failing the Trial of the Bullet [ see attached files ].

It was in their Campaign against the Chaos tainted world, Mirumus Setorusmia that Hasimous and Berton came into conflict. Whilst in the bowels of the Hive city, purging the Cultist’s armoury they came across a large hallway, walls lined with stasis chambers, all holding powerful Daemon weapons and Daemonhosts, as well as housing the Cultists Warp Gate. Immediately Berton set about destroying the complex, lining walls with demolition charges and Holy grenades.
Hasimous questioned his Master’s rash actions and the two started a heated debate, Hasimous wondered why?, why would they destroy such potent weapons, weapons that harnessed Daemons? In the hands of a Cultist they were dangerous, and Cultists could not control the Daemons, but surely the Emperor’s chosen could… strong willed Inquisitors could control them and keep them in check, he said. But Berton condemned him for this, touching such a weapon would taint you, he argued, and denounced Hasimous as his pupil, for he was touched by the Dark Gods, and had strayed from the light for even thinking as such…
In his disrespect for his master he defied him and turned towards the walls, walking off purposefully towards them… Berton turned and primed the charges, ready to destroy the chamber. Hasimous deactivated a stasis shell, and reached out for a Daemon sword, the sword he still carries today, ‘Qzee’elak’yw’, Hasimous screamed in pain as he touched it, for the Daemon Inside burned him, the sword bound itself to Hasimous, melting through skin and attempting to possess him as it’s essence drove deep into Hasimous’s soul. He resisted the Daemon, however, his willpower concurring it, as Berton looked on.
The effect of this can be seen today, as Hasimous’s left hand is burnt and scarred from the attempted possession, and the veins on his arm are still scarred a deep black. Hasimous had proved his point to Berton, but at a cost, the Daemon is bound to his soul and the two can never be separated, for it would slowly kill them both.
However, this act of defiance against the Emperor was too much for Berton to witness, and he swore to kill Hasimous, a chaos worshipping Heretic as he saw. As he advanced on the incapacitated Hasimous, Nemesis Force Sword drawn and ready for the killing blow, the Daemon sprung to life, filling Hasimous with power, and ready for combat. Fighting ensued for many minutes, until the greater experienced Berton struck Hasimous across the face, carving a deep gash down through his eye, blinding him, and even with the Daemon’s strength he passed out.
Berton fled at this point, ending the combat minutes before the demolition charges did their work. Hasimous was expected to die in this blast, but he was seen again, on the other side of the Galaxy, several years later. How this was achieved may not even be known by Hasimous himself.

He has been working for the Inquisition, dispute Tyrus’ charges against him, of being the Dark God’s pawn, of Heresy, and many other charges by fellow Inquisitor’s have been laid at his feet, although none can catch him.

He has recently had encounters with Tyrus, who was in the same sector as Hasimous, and is now tracking him down after previous encounters. One report of Tyrus’ is of their encounter at a Lunar Base, where Tyrus questioned him over his abilities, and their source, they fought and Tyrus was defeated by Hasimous’s inhuman strength, barrelling him over a wall, the unarmed Hasimous lifted the power armoured Tyrus over the wall, falling several hundred feet to the spaceport hanger floor.
Inquisitor Hasimous’s latest move has been towards the Primas Sectum, where he is hunting for the Angel, an Ancient artefact, in the Karis Caphalon campaign, and has employed the services of self - styled Bounty hunter / Rouge Trader Truond, and also those of a unknown Psyker and his Daemonhost, with the intent of learning to create his own Daemonhost for his service. Surely this heretic must be stopped…
More Recently, in the Karis Cephalon campaign, Tyrus again hunted down Hasimous, with the aid of Battle Brother Artemis and his warband, but unfortunately for Tyrus he was last seen with Kraken Bolt rounds in his skull, several holes in his Power Armour, and his Warband and Battle BrotherArtemis in various pieces!!! (see forthcoming battle report)

The Inquisitor Berton took Hasimous as his pupil, under the instructions of the High Inquisitors. Recently, disturbing side effects of his possession have come to light, and may be part of the reason he is under constant scrutiny from the high Inquisitors, he has developed scitzofrenizia and his personality splits randomly between firey zeal, which he used to cast out the Daemon, and a more open minded Inquisitor.
