Every night a small child watched the star......
"Erica," a voice called from inside a wooden hut. The child spun around, her green pigtails swirling about her.
"Coming," she said. Erica ran towards the hut, as she got closer she smelled smoke. "NOOOOO," she screamed.

Erica sat with a start,
A nightmare she thought, then she heard the screams, that was when her world ended. The smoke she had smelled was real! Erica looked out the small window, orange and black met her gaze, the small village was burning. Erica quickly grabbed a shoulder bag. She filled it with food, clothes, healing leafs, and some money. She put on her boots, a dark green color that reached up to her knees. After making sure she had a dagger in each boot, she shouldered her bag. Then put on a dark brown cloak, pulling the hood up over her green hair.

Erica ran for her life. Running to the woods had been scary, everything happened in a blur. The screams, the smell, the running were some things Erica would never forget. Erica looked at her surrondings, a beautiful site met her eyes. Lush green leaves floated to the ground, a golden brown color adorned the trees trunks. But to Erica the colors made her want to run. She saw only dull, lifeless colors. She looked up towards the stars, but the tree hide them from her view.

"Please forgive me, but I can not look at you tonight," she whispered as she leaned against a tree. She pulled her hood off her green hair, letting the pigtails dance with the breeze. Erica closed her eyes and listened to the ceartures of the forest and let them lull her to sleep.

Erica was standing in the mist, a figure stood a little bit infront of her. She couldn't make out who it was, she saw the purple hair in a long flowing ponytail. The sparkling purple eyes like jewels. The figure turned towards her, "Please protect me, where ever you are."

She  woke up with a start, it was raining. The large crystal blue droplets hitting everything in their path. She pulled her hood up and grabbed her bag, then she ran. Away from destiny, away from the hurt. Who was that girl? Why was she calling to her? Erica closed her eyes to ward of the tears. So much had happened, she had to get off this planet.  Eden was now a war zone, ever since the people of the Dark Moon had landed.

She ran until she could no longer ran, even then she pushed her self farther. Her foot jammed under a root and she fell forward. The feel of the air made her smile, but the impact of the ground made her stifle a scream. She stood up and dusted off her clothes, thank goodness for the boots she wore.

It had been hours, at least it felt that way to Erica since she had started running. The Space Port was up ahead,
It has to be up there! Erica thought savagely.  She would sneak on a ship and hopefully end up somewhere safe, she knew someone was guiding her destiny...

She stopped to catch her breath, she was sure no one was following her. She kneeled down on the ground and noticed something shiny to her left. She looked over there, laying on the ground was a small locket. It was light blue,  it looked like a cloud almost. The way the locket shinned looked like moving sky. Erica smiled faintly, it was very pretty. In the middle of the locket was a small silver crystal, in the shape of the Air Rune. Erica placed the locket in her pocket and suddenly felt better.

Erica stood up and ran again. The hood of her cloak fell off, her green pigtails flowing behind her, they somehow didn't get caught in anything, a smiple pharse ran through her mind,
I run with the Air, as my sister runs with the Wind...
