My Tubal Reversal Story
Page 15
We have bought probably 25 or so outfits for Bean, mostly sleepers and baby gowns, but I am very thankful for the clothes donation from Terrie!  Speaking of Bean, I guess I should give her real name!  We have decided on Kathryn Anne Hart.  We were thinking of Molly, but decided on Kathryn, Katie for short.

I was a little afraid that Jon would be disappointed in having a girl, but he was as happy as could be when I told him!  He wasn't able to go to this ultrasound, so I told him after I got back.
He sounded very happy.  Jacob was thrilled, of course, since he has said all along that the baby was a girl!

The best news of all is that Dr. Goldaber, the Maternal Fetal Specialist, released me to my regular high risk OB, Dr. Heroux!  They checked for any defects during the ultrasound, even cleft lip and palate, and there are no defects, not even anything questionable, so I don't have to see him any longer!  Thank goodness!

Well, I have my first nephew!  Conrad Allen Hart was born last Tuesday the 12th of February, a month early.  He was 6 lbs. 4 oz. but is still in NICU for now, although he seems to be doing great!  He is a little jaundiced so they are just keeping an eye on him.

Went to the OB for my regular checkup today, and everything looks great.  I only gained 1/2 of a pound, which means I am still down 10 1/2 pounds, but she said that since Bean is measuring fine and I am not underweight - who are we kidding - that she is not concerned at all.  Fundal height is measuring 22 centimeters, and I will be 23 weeks this Sunday, so everything is on track.  Next visit is the glucose test.  Ugh.

23 Weeks 5 Days

She's doing it again.  Throwing her plate on the floor.  Bean, that is.  Yesterday morning I threw up after months of not being plagued by morning sickness - OK, so I had some coffee yesterday morning, that probably didn't help!  Then this morning again I threw up.  Ugh.  That's enough of that, little Bean!  :)

Other than that, everything seems to be going fine.  I think I finally found the heartbeat using that Bebe Sounds prenatal heart listener.  It is "supposed" to work at 20 weeks, but I never could hear anything more than stomach gurgles, so I put it up for a few weeks.  You have to be very quiet and really listen when trying to locate the heartbeat, but I am pretty sure I found it the other day.  That or my heart was racing!
