28 Weeks 9 Days

Grrrrr.  I had typed all of today's entry out and "saved" it, only to discover that it did not in fact save, so here I go again.  Asking me to remember what I just wrote is a tall order indeed!

This weekend was a very fast weekend!  We had Alexa's 7th birthday party on Saturday - her actual birthday is tomorrow.  That took pretty much the entire day, then we took her to the mall to spend her birthday money.  She bought a CD for her new CD player and a movie.  I can see she loves shopping!

Sunday was our breastfeeding class at St. Paul.  I can sum it up in one word:  B-O-R-I-N-G!!  The instructor was very soft spoken, this was her first time giving the class, and she was just plain boring.  It was interesting to kind of "review" all that we knew, but there really wasn't any new information.

The pregnancy book says that Bean has doubled in size over the past 5 weeks, and let me tell you, I can definitely believe that!  It seems like there is no more room for her to grow all of a sudden!  Thank goodness she is still breech, I can't imagine having all that head pressure!  Being kicked in the bladder constantly is bad enough, but I will take that any day over the pelvic pressure when they are head-down!!  I am going to the OB every 2 weeks now, hard to believe I go again on Monday already!  At least there are no major tests or anything coming up, so the visits should be short and sweet!

29 Weeks 1 Day

Just thought I would update everyone.  I am 29 weeks today, and went for a regular OB appointment.  This one was not as fun as the others have been.  First off, I lost another 3 pounds in the past 2 weeks...and this time the doctor even asked me what was up with my weight.  That brings me back up to having lost 11 pounds now since pre-pregnant.  Also, I have been having a lot of contractions, and have talked to her the past couple of times about them.  This time she decided to check my cervix and it is softer than it should be at this point, too early she said.  In addition, I measured 27 cm fundal height again this time, which is the same as 2 weeks ago - it should be up to 29 cm by now.  She said it is nothing to worry about this week, but that if it falls off again on the 29th, my next appointment, she will send me over for an ultrasound.

All of this together, she is not as happy with things as she has been - the weight loss, the cervix, and the fundal height.  Her exact words were, "I don't want to have to take you off of work, but I will if I have to."  I kind of chuckled after she said that and she said, "I'm not kidding, you don't want to deliver this early."  So, I have been instructed that all I am to do for the remainder of this pregnancy is to eat, DRINK DRINK DRINK (have water all the time, this will help cut down on the contractions), and REST.
