The Air Canada Center December 4th 2002

My cousin Rob, calls me up to tell me he couldn’t get tickets to the Korn show, so immediately I’m disappointed, So after ten minutes of me thinking he didn’t have tickets Rob burst’s out and tells me “I GOT THE FUCKIN TICKETS!!!!!!!!” Bam the excitement started. We were pumped about the show for so long, and then we find out it was pushed back to December 4th! As long as we got to see them it didn’t matter but for a while there it was a close call.

After so many well-anticipated months, December 4th finally rolls up. We got to the Air Canada Center early, and got inline, we started talking to some other fans, about half an hour later some security guard yells something about people with floor tickets have to line up on one side, so we do, and we finally get to the ticket takers and all the sudden they stop us, and say there’s a problem. Apparently our tickets were for another gate, and we were so angry also because the security guard was a huge jerk off, and was yelling at us and shit, If there wasn’t a cop behind us, we would have just rushed him and gone in because we were already past the gate at this time, there were about 10 of us with tickets from the original date. So he took us to another Gate, witch we were at the back of the line. And waited and waited and waited, we finally got in.

We got in, and went into the pit, and laughed at all the suckers in the seats, and got right up close. The opening band MARZ sucked huge ones, trust me, don’t even need to download their music to hear how bad it is, just wait till you take a shit next time, it pretty much sounds the same, not to mention it was RAP, the only response from the crowed the “singer” got was when he said “Toronto let me hear you say FUCK YOU MARZ” Then we all meaningfully said FUCK YOU MARZ. Also the only cool thing about them was DJ Sid Wilson was in the band, his face was completely covered. At the end of the show he came to the edge of the stage to soak up the glory, everyone was chanting “Sid, Sid, Sid” Anyway after hearing a half hour of that crap, they turned the lights back on. Instead of playing good music during the Korn set-up, guess what they played? MARZ! For over an hour! I’ll never forget how frustrated we were, Shit music, packed tight with smelly fans, some dope head was talking to us, who didn’t even know who Korn was, and had never been to a concert in his life!

Finally Korn comes out on stage, breaking the crowd’s screams with Twist. Korn played so many old songs, it was purely amazing! Everything I wanted to hear in one night. Playing songs such as Blind and even closing with an on-core Shoots and Ladders! The crowed surfing at this show was POOR! I feel on my head twice, landed on my back once cutting it open on an unidentified object, I prefer to not know what I landed on! This show was by far amazing; I could care less for people who say, “Korn sold out” bah!! They’ve still got it, trust me, this next album is either going to leave Jon Davis without a voice, or its going to kill him, because its going to be a powerhouse of an album! When I hear certain Korn songs, it gives me flashbacks of the concert, of my cousin going crazy, the feeling, the shivers come back every time I hear Korn! That’s all I have for this review!
