GRACIE HINKLE age 79 of Inez passed away, Saturday, November 29, 2003 at here home.
Born November 8, 1924 in Martin County, she was the daughter of the late Will and Martha Maynard Blackburn. In addition to her parents, Gracie was preceded in death by her husband, Hiram Hinkle, and three children, Hiram, Jr., Marie Jane and Estil Hinkle. Also preceding her in death were two grandchildren, Daniel Lee Hampton, and Christopher Pack and several brothers and a sister.
Gracie is survived by two sons: James Hinkle of Inez and Roger Hinkle of Beauty, eight daughters: Dorothy Pack of Paintsville, Tennessee Hampton of Crossville, TN., Ethel Fletcher, Judy Thacker, Kimberly Buskirk all of Inez, Joyce Castle of Lowmansvile, Carol Sue Maynard of Beauty, and Brenda Collins of Kettering, OH. Also surviving are five sisters: Mary Woosley of Spencer, WV., Irene Mayhan of Grove City, OH., Helen Morgan of Columbus, OH., Ocie Cordell and Francis Lambert both of Ohio, and one brother Willie Blackburn of Inez. Fourteen grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services was held Tuesday, December 2, 2003 in the chapel of the Phelps & Son Funeral Home, Inez with Burial in the Warfield Cemetery. Officiating the service was Kevin Davis, Larry Goble, and Clyde Waller.
Gracie was well loved by her family and friends and will be sadly missed by all. She was laid to rest beside her husband Hiram Hinkle of 59 years at the Warfield Cemetery family lot. |
