The crack of a shell is the beginning of a life so beautiful you could cry And your eyes look past like the inevitable doesn't exist Another miracle your perception denies
Fingertips slow upon the smoothness of skin, given by God and by nature The touch of a synthetic needle causes displeasure, given by man Yet, with thread, the two could concur
It doesn’t take a sword to cut the marionette’s strings To let the work of art fall abruptly from living The work of the murderer could be reattached and undone But the knot will never fade And yet one could find no reason to hate
Ironic, isn’t it? A sincere rose with thorns- so natural yet so contradicting. True love is free, innocent, marvelous, immortal Yet boundaries become palpable with a small golden ring
A fool is known under a dirty jester crown, known to live up to his appellation But could not a fool be also simply under-experienced and untaught, Simply naïve and more aquatinted with imagination?
Serious words may be light-hearted, a warm night reminiscing of the sun As one has said, joy is not a reaction, but a choice Smile for yourself. Smile for everyone.
Tears are from fear, if anything at all Fear that shadows will reemerge, Fear of the moment when happiness falls
Spirit will always remain by your side Though perhaps lowered with an expression of “Goodbye”, as it has been taught to... Smile. Don’t let the world’s beauty be denied. |
