Profile: Jeff Harris: The town of Kenilworth in Warwickshire was where Jeff spent his time growing up, but his first move into work was as an apprentice electrician.  But this didn't quite have the spark(!) that he wanted.  Always a fan of pop music, he was lucky enough to get a job in radio at Mercia Radio in Coventry in 1981 starting a career with the station that lasted almost a decade and a place of residence for twenty years.  In this time, he was lucky enough to interview Bob Geldof around the time of Live Aid as Bob fired off a series of expletives.  A later period at Leicester Sound was followed by the stints on Breakfast and Drivetime at Classic Gold.

Outside of radio, Jeff's favourite football club is, not surprisingly, Coventry City, he enjoys a good game of tennis, a pint at the pub and a session of swimming.

Whereabouts: Tony Lyman's move from the Drive Time show at SAGA 105.7 in the West Midlands to it's sister station in the East Midlands, SAGA 106.6, has made an opening for Jeff in Birmingham who presents the SAGA Drive Time Show 4:00pm - 7:00pm and also 'The Saturday Alternative' from 2:00pm - 6:00pm, a show consisting of sports information and SAGA's music selection.
