Whereabouts: Thanks go to Mark Smith who e-mailed us in September 2006 to give us a rather sad update!  'Just to update you, 'Yarners' is no longer on the air.  He now has his own town planning consultancy business.  A sad loss to broadcasting!   His last media appearance was on a TV programme giving advice to a young couple who were doing up a house.'  AIRCHECK has done some more research and his company is based in Staffordshire in Upper Longdon - we can also reveal that he has letters after his name too, these being M.B.I.A.T - this standing for 'Member of the British Institute of Architectural Technologists - and I.C.I.O.B - this being the Chartered Institute of building - so clearly, he knows his thing!

However, we don't think that David has completely washed his hands of the media business.  David has been known to take an active part in the BIAT Executive Board meetings - and such an organisation needs someone able to talk to the media.  Back in 2003, when the body's Communications and Promotions Officer requested a panel of members able to respond to media requests, it was stated that whoever had the role must be able to respond immediately and be both clear and concise.  Along with Mark Kennett, David Yarnall's name was put forward because of his experience in local radio.
