| Found in a mystical forest in Faerun, Iliok has existed longer than most histories are recorded. He was first created long ago with the other Fire- and Flame- Swords, to fight in the legendary war against the shadows and undead long before any who live now were thought of by history. Given life by a human blacksmith and an elven sorceress, Iliok is a powerful ally to his chosen wielder. The woman who wields him now is the Lady Trista EveSpring, fighter, mage, and Druid. She can never be found without Iliok at her hip or in her hand, and she wields him both gracefully and justly. Trista was still young when she was taken to Faerun and found Iliok, where he was waiting her to come and claim him, waiting for her to wield him, as he knew she would. He had, when she was very young, beckoned to her, begging to be found and used by a girl who's heart was pure, but she was too far away, and much too young to claim him then. It was an age later when she found him, in the very woods she had dreamed of as a child, buried to his hilt in the ground upon which she walked. Today she wields Iliok, along with another scimitar, in battle when she must fight. Once, he was called her "flaiming sword of Justice" and that titled suited him, for he enjoyed dispatching those who are evil , so they may be judged by Kelemvor, god of the dead, and have their punishment for all eternity. |
