For the first time ever, SoulPatch gets his ass out of CTU on field assignment. Against Mason's order moreover. Mason may be dying but still he's got no backbone. SoulPatch will follow up a Middle Eastern business man who has connections to Syed Ali.
Jack calls Mason with the Nina news.
At WarRoom, Stengun (AKA Roger Stanton) arrives to replace Raygun. So does the ambassador of Fauxiraqistan.

Spawn runs into PsychoDad in hospital. Instead of alerting police herself, Spawn is afraid that PsychoDad will alert police, well, because she's Spawn. She runs away.

Stengun, the head of NSA and Raygun's boss apologizes for Raygun's actions. I expected for Stengun to go ballastic about letting Ambassador into WarRoom shouting "He will see the board! He will see everything!" Not quite, but close enough. Stengun doesn't like it and worries that Ambassador may only try to access U.S. intelligence.

Jack returns to CTU and acts as if stunned lest others might think he had a hand in this. I mean, judging by the smokes he saw, he should be glad it didn't collapse. Mason doesn't want Jack around because let's face it, Nina and Jack together is a recipe for disaster, something we are all waiting for.

Darlene wakes up and gives Mason decryption key, which actually sounds quite easy to figure out without Darlene. Darlene of course dies leaving Mason feel even more shitty if that's possible.

RedHerring and Kate return from a red herring, I mean, new house, and it turns out BlueHerring knew about the red herring. SoulPatch arrives to question RedHerring.

Ambassador insists on bilateral exchange of intelligence. I don't know if he has hidden camera like that Russian ambassador in Dr. Strangelove. Both Stengun and Advisor Ro are against it, so I guess that means it's a bad idea. Palmer will think on it.

Jack works on his debrief, which is a little weird since BOMB may go off at any time. I doubt it will mention Goren's head. Jack gets a call from Spawn and learns that she's still in LA. D'oh! Jack tells her that there is BOMB set to go off. I shudder to think of the consequences!
Shackled Nina arrives at CTU, and Jack acts like a lovelorn boy.
