My Inspiration
The
inspiration for this site comes from many places. I'll list the
inspirations here, because I feel it is not only very important
for those wondering, but it is important to myself to share these
people with the world. I wanted to thank them, in a sense. (They
are not arranged in any specific order.)
Raphael, my Angel
Raphie
is my "angel", my very best friend. Without him, not
only would I most likely not be here, but I probably wouldn't
be doing this site. His love and the love I have for him keeps
me going, keeps me motivated. Oh yeah, he's also my partner in
crime.
Savage Garden
Savage
Garden is one of the most inspiring bands I have ever come upon.
Their songs reach out over generation, gender, and time. Many
of their songs, including "Crash and Burn", "Affirmation",
"Hold Me", "Gunning Down Romance", "Two
Beds...", have helped me through rough times. Both guys,
especially Darren, are such inspirational men as well. Truly,
a great great band, I'll miss hearing new songs from them, though
Darren is going solo.
Ms. LaCognata
My philosophy
teacher, who gave me the philosophy assigment. Not only did she
encourage us to do our work, but she helped us find what we believe.
Truly a great teacher. She definately won't be forgotten for awhile!
Mr. Bolger
My U.S.
history teacher. His stories are very inspirational, he's a great
listener, and he's a great, great man. He is an awesome teacher
who tries to keep us motivated, and will definately never be forgotten.
Mr. Mural (Magister
Mural)
My Latin
teacher, who assigned a project a few months ago based on our
interests in Rome and Roman culture. Of course, I picked the religion.
I wrote three poems that are on this page for the project. He
helped me find my true religion through this project. He's a fun,
fun, guy, with a wicked sense of humor. Don't get on his nerves,
though- he may defensetrate you! ;)
Lindsay, my Jinx
Jinx is
also one of my best friends. She's helped me find many, many interests
including music, books, and stuff. We've had many a "philosophical"
debate. We've been through tough times together. A great person
with a huge heart, even when she doesn't seem to show it.
"Merrick"
Merrick
(Her roleplaying name, what I know her as) is like a big sister
to me. She's helped me through so many emotional times and has
kept pushing me to get help, to feel better. She's there to listen
to my problems and give advice, and is a fun, fun person to hang
out with as well. A wonderful person to have on your side- don't
get her mad! ;)
A.J. McLean
A longtime
favorite of mine, he is now not only an object of affection, but
an inspiration as well. After dealing with severe depression and
alcoholism due to the depression, he finally got help- and stuck
to it. He is still sticking with it, and is so proud. Not to mention,
he's grateful to us fans who supported him!
Howie Dorough
Howie
is an inspiration of me because of the love he holds in his heart
for his family, and the dedication he shows. His sister, Caroline,
died of Lupus a few years ago. He kept the pain inside for a long
time, but finally let it surface. In her honor, he has started
the Dorough Lupus Foundation, which is dedicated to finding a
cure for the often deadly disease. He is a constant advocate for
the charity, which I think is amazing.
That's
all I have as of now. However, I'll be updating this I'm sure.
Thank you for reading this little page- it means a lot to me.
