A TRUE FRIEND


You are the true definition of a lady, in so many ways
It starts with your beautiful hair that glistens in the rays
Your eyes are like diamonds, crystal and so clear
Then there is your heart, so warm and yet so dear
Your soul is so deep, as my feelings are for you
As you tell me, you are "JUST YOU" that is so true
Because you are incredible and make me melt
The feelings that we share, I have never felt
You express yourself so amazingly, full of love
If you were a bird, it would have to be a dove
For you are a sign of peace, innocence and beauty
As I look, these are just a few of the many qualities of you I see
Then there is the caring and understanding too
Knowing just what to say, when I need you
Trust is something we need and always must share
Just being able to be honest and care
You cannot hide the truth, when the chips are down
Because if there is a smile, there will not be a frown
As time goes by, you seem to read my mind
You know when to give me space and also draw the line
These are only a few things that a friend will always be
The most important of which, is you having me
