Life can be so strange at times
With no rhyme or reason, we are given a sign
This was so true to me not so long ago
I met a special friend that is such a dear, you know
Yes, it is you that made me feel the way I do
You make me smile and laugh, too
When I see you online it makes me happy inside
I still often wonder and ask myself why
Though we have only known each other for just a short while
Our distance seems so close, instead of miles
Sometimes I sense your sadness, it becomes so clear
It makes me want to draw you so close and near
To take all the pain and give it to me
So you will have no more troubles and be worry free
For this is part of friendship, never to be apart
I could feel that special bond as it builds in the heart
As the days go by the bond gets stronger
And when we don't talk, the day seems longer
We will be here for each other as our hearts mend
