CAN I JUST HAVE ONE MORE DAY?


My life is confused, as I try to change it now
I am not sure what to do, or even how
The emptiness I feel becomes unbearable at times
I need hope, LORD, please give me a sign
I need you to protect me as you have always done
The crosses I may now bear will be inferior to none
The decisions I may make may be hard to understand
But I truly believe I can make it, just take my hand
The pain I will suffer will bring tears to my eyes
But in time, I may remove my mask and throw away my disguise
Have a clean slate before me, and start from scratch
Enjoy a new life, while you watch my back
I will make new friends, that will stand by my side
Forget the past and keep the tears inside
I will look to the future, in my crystal ball
Keep my chin up, and stand so tall
I will look way up high and softly pray
Please, LORD...
