THE CAROUSEL

She looked at her father, as they entered the gate
The anticipation on her face, said she could not wait
They stood inline, so they could by a ticket
Waiting patiently, as they approached the wicket
Slowly they made their way through the park
Hoping to get there, before it got dark
They finally saw the ride, in the distance, ahead
The big grin on her face, made her cheeks red
There were a few people, but it would not take long
As the music playing, was her favourite song
It was their turn, to go on the ride
She was so happy, as they were outside
There was a stallion and a white mare
A reindeer, a kangaroo and even a hare
She chose the big, beautiful brown horse
Her father chose the train caboose, of course
Then all of a sudden the ride started to turn
The animals went up and down, as butter would churn
The joy on her face, was all that was needed to tell
How she loved that ride on...
