FORGIVENESS


We have made many mistakes in our lives
Does that not make us still human
Our heart has room for forgiveness
Life is too short to keep the hurt inside
Friendship should not end because of misunderstandings
When a bond is shared over time, it can't end overnight
When you cared for someone once, is it over right away
I think not, friendship can last a lifetime
Words can hurt so much, but we can overcome
Many people will enter our lives, few will stick around
But we have the right to choose who they are
Our hearts will guide us with that decision
The greatest gift of all is to love
Love does not have to be infatuation or lust
Although it must be unconditional
It may be the love of friendship only
But I believe, that is the greatest love of all
For friends stick with each other always
Even through the good times, but especially the bad times
So I ask now, keep all the friends that you have
Because one day soon, you may need each of them
You see, with the love, must come the forgiveness
So before you end that friendship
Perhaps you may consider forgiving, even though it may be hard to forget
