GROUNDHOG DAY
Good morning everyone. Are you looking for me?
I am just a little rodent. Can't you see?
I love to dig holes all through the ground.
At times I love to hide, never to be found.
Everyone waits for me to come up for air.
But all I really want to do is pop up to dry my hair.
It is so funny to watch you all from here.
Sometimes it is so cold, the wind brings a tear.
If I see my shadow, six more wintery weeks?
Wow! It will be cold, as my knees get weak.
I love the cold. It just does not like me.
Snow means freezing. Can't you see?
But we will make the best of it. We always do.
So I may surprise you and make your day.
And scream out loud...
