I remember that one wish, that I made inside
That prayer was answered, when I saw you had cried
I came into this world, and made you so proud
As you kept that promise that you had vowed
The promise to protect me, day after day
You have showed me your love, in every way
Right from the beginning, you always cared
Giving me the strength, when I was scared
You gave me that hug, when I was down
Made me smile, when I wanted to frown
Each time I bat my innocent eyes at you
Is just another way, to show how much I LOVE YOU
You make me so proud, because you are my dad
You are the reason that I am never sad
