I ASK YOU, LORD


As I sit at my bedside with my hands folded tight
I pray to You, Lord, to show me the light
I have always followed the path that You have given me
But at times it is just difficult for me to see
We always make choices, some good and bad
But lately life has made me feel very sad
I get this loneliness inside my soul
It is now that I need You to make me once again whole
My life seems to be falling apart right now
But I know with Your strength and my friends I will make it somehow
But I need You to be stronger than ever before
Please take my hand and open Your door
I know in my heart everything will soon be okay
But I just need You to help me through each day
I ask You now, from the bottom of my heart
Keep me healthy and safe so we will never be apart
