If Time Runs Out
The clock has started to tick, a minute at a time The walls are closing in. It is my sign As my throat starts to tighten, and my stomach turns to knots I slowly lose each and every thought I must pick myself up and stand taller When I need strength, I will holler It gets tough at times, I don't know what to do But I must say for sure, "I need you!" Please stand by me, and give me your ear For at this time, it is my life I fear It seems the harder I try, something always goes wrong I need you to reach out and keep me strong I thank you now, for always being here For comforting me, when I have that flow of tears Just know I need you, just to be about Because I will be scared... IF TIME RUNS OUT
