IF YOU PRICK ME, I, LIKE YOU, WILL BLEED
I always wondered why people thought I was different When they looked at me, it was always with a pretense I am the same as you and everyone else Perhaps my skin is darker, just look at yourself We have the same beliefs and I am always nice Perhaps you are the insecure one, maybe now, you will think twice Just because my skin is coloured, why are you so heartless? So I have an accent, why are you prejudice? Do you think, if we get hurt, we don't cry? If you shoot us, we can't die? Are we a threat to you because we love everyone? We are just people that share the same sun What do you see when you look at our face? Trust me on one thing, the Olympics has the ONLY race What is wrong if we marry someone that may not look like us? If that is a crime, I committed it, so lock me up, if you must For OUR children's sakes, please love one another For one day, my daughter may end up being your granddaughter's mother So now, look into your heart and take heed For although I may look different... IF YOU PRICK ME, I, LIKE YOU, WILL BLEED
