INDIAN WARRIOR


Guided by the whispering of the wind
Living off the land, as I do so wise
Each day for me is a new beginning
As I imagine looking through an eagle's eyes
The symbolic imagery that we use, fascinates me
The OWL is a sign of true wisdom
As the WOLF, my favourite, is the mystery
The BALD EAGLE shows us our freedom
And our lives can be compared to a tree
It is the basis of each and every family
The roots are deep and the trunk is strong
We will always be together from this day on
The feathers that we my bear, give meaning to our lives
The paint on our face hides the feelings we lock inside
We will fight for our freedom to keep our heritage alive
We will live each day, as there will be no tomorrow
Today is our gift from the spirts; it is the present
Together we will stand, hand in hand
It is what our ancestors meant
Go forward with both feet and don't look back
Don't let life pass you by and hold on tight
Keep your chin up and keep focused
Let your insitincts guide you right
