THE LIGHTHOUSE
I stand so tall, as my light starts to turn The candles begin to brighten, as the flame slowly burns I can see such a distance, sometimes so far away It seems like an eternity or just another day There ahead is a killer whale, in amongst its pod Leading its fellow friends, as if it were a GOD The starfish all gather, on the shore below Sticking themselves to the rocks, waiting for the tide to go It`s such a peaceful feeling, watching the seagulls fly by With their graceful wings, they wave good-bye The fishermen wait at the pier, for their prize catch As the geese wait in the sand, for their goslings to hatch As the sun begins to rise, I hear the laughter in the air The children begin to arrive, running here and there Building their sandcastles and mountains, as high as can be For just the happiness they give , makes it worthwhile for me Slowly the ships start dock, one at a time Arriving at the harbour, with their whistling chimes They have all arrived safely, quiet as a mouse For that is my job...I AM THE LIGHTHOUSE
